The US Department of War is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to speed the development of advanced additive technologies—namely, cold spray coating deposition technology—to enable the strategic goals of timely, affordable repair and restoration of critical assets.

Phase VI will build on the accomplishments of the earlier phases and seek to advance and expand current cold spray repair, Qualified Spray Procedures (QSP) development, and novel Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods as well as the associated training that enable the strategic goals of timely, affordable repair and restoration of critical assets to support fleets.
