The US Department of War is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to initiative to demonstrate how organizations can bridge the gap between workforce development and operational needs. The industry team will be expected to develop, demonstrate and deliver a full-cycle workforce development system to the Maritime Industrial Base that supports submarine maintenance and sustainment. Immersive and applied training from experienced shipyard personnel with cultural and technical aptitude will prepare trainees for highly skilled and in-demand work.
Specific objectives will include:
- Optimize Resource Utilization through State Maritime Academy Infrastructure
- Enhance Practical Skills through On-Site Experiential Learning
- Elevate Workforce Standards through Improved Recruitment and Retention
